About her photo shoot with model Samantha Chandler:

I decided to take some inspiration from Brothers Grimm, they're tale about Aschenputtel for my Cinderella Series.  According to Grimm's version of this fairytale, on the night of the Wedding Ball, Cinderella was sent outside time and time again to pick lentils from ash.  She called on the birds from beneath the sky to come, (white pigeons and turtle doves) to help her pick the good into the pot and bad into the crop--but she still wasnt allowed to leave.  Cinderella fled to her mother’s grave and wept.  Those same birds came to her aid and bestowed a silver and gold gown upon her.

After the ball and after having her slipper replaced by the Prince, she was to be wed.  Her evil step sisters tried to get into her good favor but during the wedding the pigeons pecked out one eye from each, then the other after the wedding.  For they're wickedness towards Cinderella they were punished with blindness for all they're days.

Even though the story speaks of white pigeons and turtle doves, I personally believe that crows make a much more appropriate vile bird capable of serving up justice for all the wretched things the evil step sisters made Cinderella endure.

Justine at Salon 7 did an excelent job with Miss Sam's makeup and hair meeting my princess specifications perfectly.

I have been working with Sam for nearly three months and you can see a definite progression in her modeling since I first met her at La Bussola during one of the summer’s Wine Walk's.
