About Reno Tahoe Tonight
"Because the purpose of business is to create a customer, the business enterprise has two--and only two--basic functions: marketing and innovation. Marketing and innovation produce results; all the rest are costs. Marketing is the distinguishing, unique function of the business." – Peter Drucker
Reno Tahoe Tonight is Northern Nevada’s fastest growing independent monthly magazine. Last month our page count trumped Time Magazine and all other independent monthlies in Northern Nevada. Reno Tahoe Tonight has been featured on The Reno Style show, the KRNV Channel 4 News and the KTVN Channel 2 News.
In "Northern Nevada's biggest popularity contest," Reno Tahoe Tonight was voted 2nd Best Local Magazine, behind the Reno News & Review, in RN&R's 2009 Biggest Little Best of Northern Nevada Reader's Poll--after just our 9th month in existence! People are responding strongly to Reno Tahoe Tonight because we celebrate the people, places, hidden treasures and small businesses that make this region one of the most creative places in the country. Our features and photo journals reflect the essence of the creative resurgence happening here. 6,000 readers a month pick up Reno Tahoe Tonight to see what's cool, what's hot and who's who in Reno Tahoe.
Exposure
Reno Tahoe Tonight streets the first week of every month and is distributed to over 150 retailers, lifestyle destinations and local businesses in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Spanish Springs, Stead, Virginia City, Squaw Valley, Crystal Bay, Zephyr Cove, Stateline, King’s Beach, Incline Village, Tahoe City, Truckee, Gardnerville, Minden and Nevada City. Our pickup rate is 95% --the highest percentage in the Truckee Meadows.
Our demographic reach is as broad as our communities are diverse, because our content reflects our culture and the people who live and thrive here. From snowboarders to baby boomers; cowboys to Caughlin Ranchers, no market is untapped and no voice is excluded. Our edge stays sharp and focused on maximum coverage of the region.
“Stopping an advertising campaign to save money is like stopping your watch to save time.” –
Henry Ford

The Joy of Sales
Reno Tahoe Tonight Magazine, Northern Nevada's fastest growing independent monthly is looking for high energy display ad sales professionals seeking high commission returns. Serious inquiries please. Must know the following regions: Lake Tahoe, Truckee, Sparks, Reno, Carson City and Spanish Springs.
Background
Reno Tahoe Tonight is a regional alt culture magazine on par with national monthlies like Juxtapoz, Vice, High Times, and Paper. Our content is inspired by indie artists Chor Boogie, Franz Szony, Matthew Goodsell, Candace Nicol, and Chris Umana. Our philosophy is influenced by Peter Drucker, cosmologist Ervin Laszlo, the research of UNR's Dean Radin, halfpasthuman.com, and the writing of Jean Toomer, Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Robbins and Hunter S. Thompson.
Real Community
Some of the newest and most important community publications in Washoe County have chosen to print out of state or even in China--at significant savings. Reno Tahoe Tonight is printed locally in downtown Reno by the Addi Award-winning 8-person printing company Registered Ink, because every dollar spent locally goes around the community 9 times! This keeps people employed who live here. We think that's really important.
Sales Philosophy
Our sales mission is to celebrate the new entrepreneurs, artists, non-profit and small business visionaries that make the Truckee Meadows creative communities so special. These are the innovators and businesses that need a boost from local print exposure and a great price point in this economy. We're here to help them share their stories.
Our community needs information to make important decisions about their consumer and marketing dollars. Selling is the sharing of the energy of hope and enthusiasm about opportunity, to facilitate a solution. A sales candidate's sole intention will be to sell Reno Tahoe Tonight as a bridge to help our business families reach their customers and artists to reach their audiences.
